ANOTHER TRAPO IN THE GOVERNMENT...
I thought Chiz Escudero is not a trapo...he is one of the senators I voted last election and admired his personality...but now I am starting to hate him...I just don't know what motives he has when he resigned from his party (NPC). I am starting to wonder...maybe because Danding Cojuangco will not support his Presidency bid this 2010 election? that, I do not know...anyway, I am more confident of who to vote this coming election...I will vote for NOYNOY coz he is less corrupt than the others. What we need for a leader in our government right now is less evil and will be mindful of the future of our young ones. We don't need an economist to govern our land and prosper our economy...we don't need an intelligent leader...we should vote wisely.

TYPHOON ONDOY...the experience...the aftermath...

Everyone is talking about the typhoon ondoy...a lot of people suffered from this disastrous ondoy...so much has been said about it...everyone is blaming the government about it...victims are asking help...how can we help in our own little way?
I had never seen such typhoon in national capital region like this. Much more had not seen from my very own eyes and experienced walking along ortigas extension with a flooded water last saturday (september 26, 2009). I don't have any choice but to walk in a flooded area coz if not I will be a helpless mother to my son and a helpless daughter to my mom on that day. I strongly had fought the fear of being drowned in that half-bodied flood water. I can never imagine that from that day on I will have a very traumatic experience of the flood which will be kept in my heart and mind.
Actually, our place was not affected but I was able to experience walking the flooded area of ortigas extension. I can never forget that tragic experience. How much more the affected areas and the people who also fought for their lives that day. I can never imagine it will abruptly happened.
After that disastrous typhoon, I was able to go to evacuation centers and the pictures above are the aftermath of the said typhoon. We were able to give relief goods. I had seen straight from my very own eyes how the people lost their living. I had seen also that our government is doing no good of the rescue operations and the distributions of the relief goods. There are only part of the victims area are given (coded) and what about the other victim areas? It is very sad to know that less expectations can be thought of our government in times like this. When will our government learn from this disastrous calamity? I think my queries will remain unanswered until the next one will happen...(so sad)

A WALK TO REMEMBER
BEYOND COMPARE
After the evolution of text messages and electronics mail I still manage to write a very special token of love for my everloving hon who is in his special mission for a few days. I hope only a few days as what he told me coz by now I am in mixed emotions how to deal with this kind of feeling I am having...thinking of his safety all through out his mission. I am not there to support him whatever he is doing...but I wrote a simple note for him to always remember me wherever his mssion is. I know that he will come back for me...With the kind of life and the nature of work James my hon had, I am always in constant prayer that he will be guided with our Lord. I hope he is always in good shape.

KNOW YOURSELF
It can be interesting as well as useful to think about the way we define ourselves as individuals. We tend to focus on particular facets: size, gender, vocation, material possessions, family name, where we were educated or grew up, things like that.
Some of us perceive and define ourselves solely in negative terms: our incapability, unworthiness, faults, past, behavior, comparing ourselves unfavorably to other people or against unrealistic ideals. If we define ourselves in such limited or deprecatory terms, we are very far indeed from true self-acceptance.
In my own case, I try to recognize and acknowledge the whole me.. That includes the sum of all my experiences, good and bad. It concerns my present reality: not the me I want to be or hope to be, nor the me I think others see, and certainly not the former me who no longer exists. By taking a hard, cool appraisal of myself, I'm able to make sound decisions about my life and where I need to go. We should know ourselves because these are the only things we can truly know. We cannot get inside anyone else's situation. We can better judge ourselves.

LUCKY...(BEST I KNOW I AM LUCKY TO HAVE YOU AS MY BESTFRIEND)
"Lucky" Official Video With Colbie Caillat
Jason Marz feat Colbie Caillat - Lucky Lyrics
Do you hear me,
I’m talking to you
Across the water across the deep blue ocean
Under the open sky, oh my, baby I’m trying
Boy I hear you in my dreams
I feel your whisper across the sea
I keep you with me in my heart
You make it easier when life gets hard
I’m lucky I’m in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Ooohh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
They don’t know how long it takes
Waiting for a love like this
Every time we say goodbye
I wish we had one more kiss
I’ll wait for you I promise you, I will
I’m lucky I’m in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we’re in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday
And so I’m sailing through the sea
To an island where we’ll meet
You’ll hear the music fill the air
I’ll put a flower in your hair
though the breezes through trees
Move so pretty you’re all I see
As the world keeps spinning round
You hold me right here right now
I’m lucky I’m in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
I’m lucky we’re in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

MAGULO...
I tossed and turn under the sheets trying to come terms with my own. This has been bothering me for days but I have been ignoring it as well. Maybe I’m so stubborn to face my fears or maybe, just maybe I can’t handle it this time of the year when things are rough, tough and enough. There have been questions hunting me that I refused to argue because I practically know how things will turn out. Painful realities that I have to bite because not everybody has my way of reasoning. Not everybody can see from my standpoint. Not everybody can empathize. Though I am confident with what I am up to lately, I am like anybody else wishing things would be as naïve as a new born child. My surrounding has witnessed my metamorphosis and certainly they can’t take it head on nor manage to even entertain this not so ordinary phase in my life. Had it been for my own, I wouldn’t be bothering the heavy scrutiny happening before me. I have been happy in my own space…in my own haven and in my place I am only accountable to my God, but I couldn’t afford faces discoursing and judging my significant other.

BUHAY-BUHAY
When I turn 26 I asked myself, what could have been my life had I chose to be the exact opposite of what I am now. Out of curiosity and despair of my being alone at the heart of the Araneta’s latest brainchild I decided to play around and satisfy my cravings for the unknown, the what ifs and the life that could have been possibly mine.

My first doze of failure was when I plunked the UPCAT and was 2 points short to being tagged as “iskolar ng Bayan”. I was aiming for a degree in political science, social works and primary education. Becoming a teacher was practically what I wanted after high school. My academic mentors have greatly influenced this goal since only one teacher shortchanged me of that wisdom. wHEW! bakit ako naging dentista ngayon! What life is ahead of me...maybe a happy one...MAYBE! and I am hoping for it!

HAPPY FEAST DAY ST. VALENTINE!

St. Valentine
At least three different Saint Valentines, all of them martyrs, are mentioned in the early martyrologies under date of 14 February. One is described as a priest at Rome, another as bishop of Interamna (modern Terni), and these two seem both to have suffered in the second half of the third century and to have been buried on the Flaminian Way, but at different distances from the city. In William of Malmesbury's time what was known to the ancients as the Flaminian Gate of Rome and is now the Porta del Popolo, was called the Gate of St. Valentine. The name seems to have been taken from a small church dedicated to the saint which was in the immediate neighborhood. Of both these St. Valentines some sort of Acta are preserved but they are of relatively late date and of no historical value. Of the third Saint Valentine, who suffered in Africa with a number of companions, nothing further is known.
Saint Valentine's Day
The popular customs associated with Saint Valentine's Day undoubtedly had their origin in a conventional belief generally received in England and France during the Middle Ages, that on 14 February, i.e. half way through the second month of the year, the birds began to pair. Thus in Chaucer's Parliament of Foules we read:
For this was sent on Seynt Valentyne's day Whan every foul cometh ther to choose his mate.
For this reason the day was looked upon as specially consecrated to lovers and as a proper occasion for writing love letters and sending lovers' tokens. Both the French and English literatures of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries contain allusions to the practice. Perhaps the earliest to be found is in the 34th and 35th Ballades of the bilingual poet, John Gower, written in French; but Lydgate and Clauvowe supply other examples. Those who chose each other under these circumstances seem to have been called by each other their Valentines. In the Paston Letters, Dame Elizabeth Brews writes thus about a match she hopes to make for her daughter (we modernize the spelling), addressing the favoured suitor:
And, cousin mine, upon Monday is Saint Valentine's Day and every bird chooses himself a mate, and if it like you to come on Thursday night, and make provision that you may abide till then, I trust to God that ye shall speak to my husband and I shall pray that we may bring the matter to a conclusion.
Shortly after the young lady herself wrote a letter to the same man addressing it "Unto my rightwell beloved Valentine, John Paston Esquire". The custom of choosing and sending valentines has of late years fallen into comparative desuetude.

DON'T BE GREEDY!
IT IS DIFFICULT TO SAVE MONEY WHEN YOUR NEIGHBORS KEEP BUYING THINGS YOU CANNOT AFFORD. GREED CAN GET YOU WHAT YOU WANT, BUT ROB YOU OF WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE!
Shakespeare said: " Those that much covet are with gain so fond... That what they have not, what which they possess...They scatter and unloose it from their bond, And so by hoping more they have but less."
You see that's the tragedy behind all greed. Our eyes long for more. Our heart beats faster, and some greedy person's whole life is consumed with the need to possess---such that he will never have peace unless he gets what he wants, no matter what method he uses in acquiring it---that's the words of Francis Kong.
From my points of view, Francis is right. Our eyes always long for more...the material things that we would like to have because our friends have it. The expensive foods that we eat---coz our co-employees ate those. Surely, we don't have contentment as human beings. In the Bible it says that contentment with Godliness is great gain. Greed destroys. The Bible never fades and it does not change its content. We should remember that heaven and earth will pass away, but the Word of God will never pass away. This season's of sharing, we should not be greedy. We should not receive only the gifts that we wanted but we should also give the things that the needy wanted. The needy long for more....more than our eyes...more than our taste buds...more than our body. So, let's share with them. Let us not be greedy with what we have and own. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS...
JOHN PAUL RED
JOAN "ANJO" SANGALANGI came home exhausted. Opened the laptop.Surfed the net.Browsed the friendster.com. Click the who's viewed me profile. Got 13 viewers. One of which is my closest college friend in University of the East, Manila. College of Dental Medicine. Botany class room 301. In all my ten (10) years of looking for her in the net and our common friends in college days, an innocent smile captured my memory.Yes! it was Joan Sangalang. My classmate in Dental Medicine course. I was happy...very happy... I added her in my friends list. I replied to her message. We exchanged yahoo messenger id. Then, the rest was history. I missed her for more than a decade. I missed her sweet smile. I missed her sweet sounding voice..."AYIEEEEEEEEE... BILI TAYO NG KIKIAM SA GILID NG SCHOOL AT SAKA GULAMAN! What a memory! I missed her dimples. Lastly, I missed her lifelong suitor, JOHN PAUL RED! How could I ever imagine that these two people closest to me would be known as sweethearts? The TOM AND JERRY partners...here comes the flowers. And now...here are the flowers...from her prince charming...straight and fresh from United States! sending flowers from USA to UAE? What a great sweetness from this man who eventually won the heart of my close friend ANJO (as what I call her---binaliktad ko ang joan) I am very happy for them.I am excited seeing them again next year. I am excited talking to them. Last night we had a long talk over the net. Kumustahan...I made some confessions. My tears fell down. This I sigh a bit...And cried. Then I go to bed---thinking of them and reminiscing the memories. I never regret I CHOOSE THEM AS MY FRIENDs.

PRACTICE SAFE SEX
THE BEST THING TO WEAR FOR SAFE SEX IS A WEDDING RING!
I just want to share a story about a conversation between a teenager and his grandfather.
One day, a conversation between a teenager and his grandfather was overheard, the young man said, Gee , grandpa, your generation didn't have all these diseases. You did not have Aids during your time. What did you wear to have safe sex?
The wise old gentleman replied, "A wedding ring."
Now, does that make sense or what?
Sex today is presented as a fulfillment of the animal lust inside every man and is hardly ever presented as a sacred bond of union inside the institution of marriage.
You don't even need to go to church or attend a service to hear your priest or pastor say this. Just watch the movies and all those television shows and you will see that sex has been degraded , and the young people of today are even more confused. Now, more than ever, we have to remind the young ones that sex is God's invention. It is to be a beautiful thing as long as it is kept within the bounds of marriage. It enhances the relationship of husband and wife and it is within God's design for all to follow.
Teach your kids too.

WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT MYSELF...
Another page of my career book...
Meeting a person like me...
The initial encounter with me was nothing exceptional. What was subtly striking, however was how my childlike character brought to mind and to others. Even to this day, my presence sheds forth a certain freshness that is pictured in the Psalmist verse, "Thy youth are to keep thee as the dew". This verse always live me by. Like the pretty flowers, my delicate demeanor reflects an inner sensitive beauty. My view in life as a child, constantly unveils the simplicity and charm out of life's complications. In this increasingly confusing world, I always made clear what is essential. I show what I see with my heart and can be real and matters more than what i viIsible to my eyes.
I am called AYEEH to some, I am usually quiet, except for my playful moments and those times when I would stress some thoughts. I am not standout. In fact, I am plain and there has always been earthshaking about what I do and how I converses. This ordinariness of me, exudes dignity, simplicity, quietness and a little confidence being in my own. Even a midst life's pressures, I maintain calmness that speaks of an inner strength. I speak with no slogans, My gentle, simple, quiet and subtle way of life is my motto. Very direct in words, and a no nonsense person, truly an example of simplicity.
Patience is a virtue I possess, although there are times my firmness makes me an intolerant of complacency. I never waste time nor allow others to make me waste time. Oh, yes! I have limitations. I am unstable, nasty and beneath that firmness is a certain stubborness. I also have this air of snobbishness, borne more out of minding my own than out of false pride.
A book symbolizes my life. Not just because I am a book reader but also my life is an open book to many.

MY TIME LOG
This is the first page of my career book MY TIME LOG...
ON MONDAY,
when I think of you,
I palpitate with glee.
COME TUESDAY,
how I wonder if you ever think of me;
BY WEDNESDAY,
you are in my thoughts while doing errands little,
AND THURSDAY,
I often think of you while munching peanut brittle.
ON FRIDAY,
I think of you before I get too busy,
AND SATURDAY,
all this thinking of you starts to make me dizzy!
ON SUNDAY,
keeping you in mind
seems the best thing I can do...
This time log was given to me by my bestfriend whom I had a crush with, he gave me a card with those messages inside.

MY CAREER BOOK
My career book is humbly made for special people who in the long run had reside and contributed part of their lives in my very being. This is a simple tribute to all of my loveones as it can be coz it brings such plain, day to day thoughts on love, friendship, family, career, experiences, values, time, achievements, hopes and fears. This little achievement made me a real person. This career book was made thru my effort way back 2002. I will be posting some of the content of this career book if I got more time.Actually, this is the reason why I come up with my blog's title MY LIFE'S LITTLE SECRETS... upon review of my career book I come to realize that it's also a good idea sharing some of it in my blog. A publisher friend already talked to me if she can publish it in REX but I am still thinking about it because it has some language which cannot be read by younger ones and I am still updating some of the contents this year 2008.
This career book was made handwritten and there are drawings in it, so I am going to scan some of it to upload it here. I hope I can be an inspiration through this one...

IF I WERE...
Just this morning upon posting here in my blog, it reminds me of things I wanna be, let me tell ;
If I were the President, I would work to bring peace and justice to my country (Philippines). I would clamp down on corruption and make sure that everyone obeyed the law. Even if something was not on my own best interest politically, I would do it if it is for the best thing for the people.
If I were a billionaire, I would use part of my money to take care of my family, but I would use most of it to help other people. Education, poverty, the environment, physical handicaps, diseases...and of course my high school alma mater, THE SISTERS OF MARY... these are all problems that I would devote my wealth to find solutions for or improvements to. Succeeding in any one of these areas, or even making them a little better, would be worth more than any amount of money.
If I were genuinely honest with myself, I guess that I would admit that if I had a great deal of power or money, I'd probably use it as selfishly as most other How about you folks? what would you do if you were....?

ALL ABOUT LOVE
I just want to share some definitions and interesting mind-buggling ( did I spell it correctly?hope so) ideas about LOVE.
1. Love does not hurt. Physical and/or emotional abuse are not a part of love.
2. Love is not manipulative, it should not be used to get others to do what you want. And you should never give in to demands based on the "You would do it if you loved me!" tactic.
3. Love is an intense feeling of caring for another person. It can take many different forms (romantic, social, familial) but it is always about caring.
4. It is very easy to confuse lust for love. The true measure of romantic love is commitment and trust, not physical attraction.
5. Sex is not love. Love is not sex. Sex can be a part of romantic love but it is never mandatory.
6. Romantic love can and often fades. When it goes, there is always no reason at all. When somebody falls out of love with you it does not reflect upon your value as a person or your desirability.
7. Love should make you feel happy, secure and appreciated.
You see it is possible to feel romantic love for more that one person at a given time. Just think; if it is possible for you to love both of your parents at the same time, why would it be impossible to feel romantic love for two people at once? Don't beat yourself up emotionally if you find yourself in this unhappy situation. But be sure to remain single and be open and honest with all parties about your feelings and confusion.
HAIZ, TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE...LOVING IS FEELING HAPPY AND SECURE FINANCIALLY....:)
